Have you ever noticed that in its construction of the imaginary future worlds science fictions affects the progress in the present?

Transport and weapon industries, as well as pharmacology and electronics develop rapidly - driven by imagination of sci-fi writers.

Have you ever noticed that art of the future is almost never mentioned in sci-fi literature and films?

It seems like in their work sci-fi writers and directors just focus on science and technology - and so the artists themselves should take care of the future of art.

“Future” is a program for creative development, targeted at research in art practice in the imaginary future.

The objectives of the program are the following:

• to obtain the information on the possible directions for future development of art practice;


• to provide the contemporary artists with speculative tools for imagining their creative growth in the future;


• by a means of establishing a database of ideas - to stimulate interest towards art practice among sci-fi producers. Since the primary subject of our study is the imaginary future, our imagination comes as a best research tool for it.
